SimuRad is a simulation software for performing TPs on radioactivity, starting at the scientific terminal level. It is used by teachers in high schools, in the BTS, DUT chemistry section, in schools preparing for the DTS of manipulator in electro-radiology, in medical and pharmaceutical faculties, and at the National Institute of Nuclear Physics and Particle Physics (IN2P3)… SimuRad integrates the mathematical laws allowing to simulate the random nature of radioactive disintegration, radioactive decay, attenuation, the effect of the source-detector distance etc… This allows students to obtain simulated measurements with the same characteristics as real measurements. A TP sheet can be displayed on the screen next to the software to present the experiment to the student and to allow him/her to answer the teacher’s questions, keep the answers on disk and/or possibly send them by e-mail to the teacher. Zero-paper’ TPs are therefore possible.
