If you are used to watching series or movies in their original version, you must probably be fond of subtitles that allow you to perfect your understanding. Among the software that allows you to do this translation work, there is Aegisub, a completely free program that allows you to create and modify subtitles and then place them on the video.

Very easy to use, Aegisub is nevertheless one of the references in this field. It is able to handle many formats including SSA, SRT or ASS but also.txt files. The interface is well organized with all the buttons on the top, while the left window is reserved for viewing your videos.

Aegisub also allows you to create karaoke by placing subtitles on the clips of your favorite artists.
